Basketball Game Preview: New Deal Lions vs. Post Antelopes

The New Deal Lions will take on the Post Antelopes at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

It was a proper cat-fight when New Deal challenged Hermleigh on Friday. New Deal took a 37-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hermleigh. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 479th, while the Cardinals are ranked 200th).

Meanwhile, Post was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 39-15 to Meadow.

New Deal's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Post, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.

New Deal strolled past Post in their previous meeting back in January of 2020 by a score of 46-32. Does New Deal have another victory up their sleeve, or will Post turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
