Football Recap: Soddy Daisy Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Soddy Daisy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the White County Warriors 14-13. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Trojans were the better team in the second half.

Soddy Daisy had a senior duo take command as Tucker Ross threw for 195 yards and a pair of TDs and Aiden Hollis picked up 71 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Hollis was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 53 yards.

Looking ahead, Soddy Daisy will be playing at home against Hixson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for White County, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against York Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
