Softball Recap: Bishop Carroll Gets the Win

Bishop Carroll's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They didn't even let the South Titans on the board, marking the Golden Eagles' second-straight 15-0 shutout. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Keira Stripling made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, Paige Stroot was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Allyson Orth, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Bishop Carroll was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .682. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in seven consecutive contests.

Bishop Carroll's record is now 11-2. As for South, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bishop Carroll beat the Titans by a score of 16-0 later that day.
