On Wednesday, Mendon beat Climax-Scotts 57-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mendon.
Mendon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Owen Gorham led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Blair, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Mendon pushed their record up to 7-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Climax-Scotts, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mendon won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bellevue at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Bellevue is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games. As for Climax-Scotts, they will head out on the road to take on Athens at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
