Flag Football Game Preview: Mills Vikings vs. San Mateo Bearcats + How To Watch

The Mills Vikings will face off against the San Mateo Bearcats at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Mills' defense has only allowed 10.5 points per game this season, so San Mateo's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Mills strolled past Woodside with points to spare, taking the game 21-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 557th).

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for San Mateo's offense. They lost to Carlmont on the road by a 18-0 margin last Wednesday. The Bearcats have struggled against the Scots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

San Mateo's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Mills, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Mills came up short against San Mateo when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 18-6. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Bearcats' Kayla Lichaa, who threw for 104 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 54 yards on only five carries.
