Baseball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was the 4-3 winner over Benjamin Russell when they last played one another back in April of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Central fell just short of Benjamin Russell by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that the Red Devils have lost by exactly two runs.

Central's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8. As for Benjamin Russell, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-9-1 record.

Central has already played their next matchup, a 5-4 victory against Pike Road on the 22nd. As for Benjamin Russell, they will face off against Lee-Scott Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee-Scott Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Benjamin Russell surely won't give up without a fight.
