Basketball Recap: Carroll County Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Carroll County won the last time they faced Eminence and things went their way on Friday too. The Carroll County Panthers managed a 46-41 win over the Eminence Warriors.

Eminence lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Victoria Spiegl, who went 5 for 11 en route to 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Spiegl has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 21 times she's played. Brooklyn Smith was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Carroll County's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Eminence, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Carroll County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-39 loss against Gallatin County on the 21st. Eminence has also already played their next matchup, a 75-29 defeat against Walton-Verona on the 18th.
