Basketball Recap: Mountain View Prep Piles Up the Points Against Walhalla

Walhalla kept up with Mountain View Prep until halftime on Friday, but afterwards: not so much. The Stars took their matchup with ease, bagging a 67-37 win over the Razorbacks.

Harris Brown had a dynamite game, going 7-for-11 on his way to 22 points and five steals. He has become a key player for Mountain View Prep: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three steals, but 2-3 otherwise. Makorean Anderson was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Mountain View Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

The victory got Mountain View Prep back to even at 4-4. As for Walhalla, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mountain View Prep and Southside Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Walhalla will take on Tallulah Falls in a holiday battle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
