Basketball Game Preview: Victory Christian Academy Chargers vs. Mississippi Valley Christian Warriors

The Victory Christian Academy Chargers are taking a road trip to take on the Mississippi Valley Christian Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Victory Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 29.9 points per game this season, so Mississippi Valley Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Victory Christian Academy turned things around against Crosspoint Christian on Tuesday. They breezed by Crosspoint Christian to the tune of 45-18.

Victory Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Claire Buettner, who went 6 for 14 en route to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Albrey Jett, who posted 13 points.

Meanwhile, Mississippi Valley Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 37-28 to Liberty Christian Academy.

Despite the loss, Mississippi Valley Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Remi Sapp had 18 points. Sapp's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Victory Christian Academy's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7. As for Mississippi Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
