The Westmont Sentinels will head out to challenge the Mendota Trojans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Westmont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Westmont is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Lutheran on Friday. They lost 12-2 to the Crusaders.

Westmont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rocco Damato, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Alex Meyer also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Mendota won against Stillman Valley on Tuesday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. Mendota was the clear victor by a 12-0 margin over Indian Creek. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Westmont has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-3-1 record this season. Mendota now has a winning record of 2-1.
