Recap: Douglas Bulldogs vs. Palo Verde Titans
The Douglas Bulldogs lost against the Palo Verde Titans back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Douglas took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palo Verde. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Douglas in their matchups with Palo Verde: they've now lost three in a row.
It was another big night for Daniel Ortiz, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds for Palo Verde. The game was Ortiz's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Pippen, who scored 13 points along with 4 steals.
Douglas now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Palo Verde, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglas will take on Pueblo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Pueblo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. As for Palo Verde, they will be playing at home against Rio Rico at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Rio Rico is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
