Softball Recap: Marksville Find Success

Marksville won the last time they faced Grace Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 6-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Katie Lachney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Morgan Brantley was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Bordelon, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Marksville now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Grace Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-9.

As of now, neither Marksville nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
