Baseball Recap: Canon-Mcmillan Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Canon-McMillan waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Thomas Jefferson Jaguars.

Michael Stafford looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, Alex Shank and Troy Stimpson did most of the damage at the plate: Shank went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Stimpson scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most RBI Shank has posted since back in April of 2024.

Canon-McMillan's record is now 3-1. As for Thomas Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Canon-McMillan will challenge Montour at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Canon-McMillan's pitchers better be ready for this one: Montour has averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Thomas Jefferson, they will be playing at home against Baldwin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
