Phoenix Christian suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were the victim of a rough 12-0 defeat at the hands of BASIS Phoenix. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Phoenix Christian in their matchups with BASIS Phoenix: they've now lost five in a row.
Phoenix Christian bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 0.0 goals per game. As for BASIS Phoenix, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Phoenix Christian will head out on the road to square off against Scottsdale Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for BASIS Phoenix, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln Prep comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
