Basketball Game Preview: Pine Grove Panthers vs. Thrasher Rebels + How To Watch

Pine Grove has gone 8-2 against Thrasher recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will take on the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Pine Grove and four for Thrasher dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, Pine Grove came up short against Marshall Academy and fell 57-47.

Meanwhile, Thrasher ended up a good deal behind Mantachie on Monday and lost 63-46. The Rebels were down 54-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Pine Grove will have to contain Joseph Ostrander as he made an impact in Thrasher's last game. He shot 41% from the field en route to 24 points and five steals. Ostrander is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Kurious Taylor, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Thrasher's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pine Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Pine Grove came up short against Thrasher in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 50-45. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
