It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Central had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 14-13 win over the Friendly Patriots. The Falcons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Central and bumps their season record up to 2-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Friendly, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
