Softball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

The Coronado Islanders came up short against the Olympian Eagles on Tuesday, falling 8-1. The Islanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coronado saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fiona Ratliff, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Olympian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8-1.

Looking ahead, Coronado will take on San Diego at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Islanders are facing the Cavers at the right time seeing as the Cavers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Olympian, they will challenge Otay Ranch at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
