Basketball Recap: Turner Has No Trouble Against North Star

Turner got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They blew past the North Star Knights 54-29 on Saturday. That 25 point margin sets a new team best for the Tornadoes this season.

The win snapped Turner's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-6 record. As for North Star, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Turner will square off against Chester-Joplin-Inverness at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chester-Joplin-Inverness knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Turner likes a good challenge. North Star has already played their next game (against Box Elder), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
