Baseball Recap: Franklin County Wildcats vs. North Decatur Chargers
After only one run in their last matchup, Franklin County made sure to put some runs up on the board against North Decatur on Tuesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 10-3 win. The Wildcats not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 19th (when they won 12-2).
Sam Foster and Garrett Kuntz did most of the damage at the plate: Foster got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI, while Kuntz went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Kuntz has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Kruthaupt, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Franklin County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Decatur only managed two hits.
