Soccer Recap: Luella Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Luella has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mary Persons Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that Luella have lost by just one goal.

IZZY MARTINEZ wasn't going to let Mary Persons walk away unscathed as she scored both of Luella's goals, bringing her season total up to 22 goals.

Luella's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Mary Persons, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Luella take on Fayette County at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mary Persons, they will be playing at home against Union Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
