Softball Recap: Marquez Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Marquez can now relate to. They fell just short of the University Trojans by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marquez's defeat dropped their record down to 24-4. As for University, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

Marquez does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University, they will head out to square off against Woodlake at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
