Brown County is 7-2 against North Greene since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Brown County will host North Greene at 4:30 p.m. Brown County is coming into the contest on a ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Brown County and Pleasant Hill, and Pleasant Hill kept the tradition alive. Brown County came up short against Pleasant Hill on Tuesday, falling 14-3.

Meanwhile, North Greene had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past North Mac 12-1. The Spartans not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15, 2024.

Chelsey Casstleberry made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eva Schenck, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Sharrow, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

North Greene always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Mac only posted an OBP of .300.

Brown County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for North Greene, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Brown County suffered a grim 19-7 defeat to North Greene in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Brown County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
