Softball Recap: Anderson Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Anderson was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Castle Trojans. The Indians have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Anderson's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for New Castle, they moved to 7-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Anderson will venture away from home to take on Hamilton Southeastern at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New Castle, they will host Franklin County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
