Volleyball Recap: Delphi Community Takes a Loss

After flying high against Taylor on Monday, Delphi Community came back down to earth. The Oracles came up short against the Twin Lakes Indians on Tuesday, falling 3-0. If the Oracles were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Indians when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Delphi Community was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Courtney Nelson and Alissa Miller, who picked up five kills apiece. They were helped by Abby Brown and Sami Leopard, who contributed eight assists each. Miller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Delphi Community's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Twin Lakes, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 9-12 record.

Delphi Community has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Logansport on the 6th. As for Twin Lakes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Frankfort on the 2nd.
