Basketball Recap: Duke Comes Up Short

Duke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Canute Trojans 81-3. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Duke's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Canute, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Duke will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Blair at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Canute also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Arnett at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
