Basketball Recap: Willingboro Skates Past LEAP Academy with Ease

While Willingboro didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the LEAP Academy Lancers 50-18. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Chimeras this season.

Willingboro's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for LEAP Academy, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willingboro will welcome Florence Township Memorial at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Willingboro's defense has only allowed 26.1 points per game this season, so Florence Township Memorial's offense will have their work cut out for them.
