Baseball Recap: Stamford Takes Down Coleman in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Stamford walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Coleman Bluecats a 10-0 shutout on Saturday. Considering the Bulldogs have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Stamford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Coleman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-13 record this season.

Stamford will take on Miles on Thursday. Coleman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
