Marsing had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Melba Mustangs, sneaking past 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Marsing's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Teagan Kinney, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another was Luke Steinmeyer, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Marsing pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.25 runs across that stretch. As for Melba, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Marsing nor Melba have any future games scheduled.
