Basketball Recap: Noah Rowley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Vasquez over Camarillo

Vasquez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Camarillo Scorpions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Mustangs have suffered since December 16, 2024.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Rowley, who went 8-for-13 en route to 20 points. The game was Rowley's third in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Battey, who posted 11 points and seven boards.

Vasquez's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Camarillo, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
