Volleyball Game Preview: South Bend Riley Wildcats vs. Elkhart Lions

The South Bend Riley Wildcats will take on the Elkhart Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, South Bend Riley beat Penn 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

South Bend Riley was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 19-25, 25-14, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Elkhart made easy work of Mishawaka Marian on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Elkhart never let Mishawaka Marian on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-23, 25-14.

Elkhart's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for South Bend Riley, their win bumped their record up to 14-15.

South Bend Riley was able to grind out a solid victory over Elkhart in their previous meeting on Tuesday, winning 3-1. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Lions' Jaden Taylor, who had 23 digs and four aces.
