Basketball Game Preview: Central Catholic Vikings vs. Canon-McMillan Big Macs

The Central Catholic Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Canon-McMillan Big Macs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Catholic will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Central Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They escaped with a win on Friday against Bishop McDevitt by the margin of a single free throw, 73-72. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Crusaders are ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Canon-McMillan was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Washington 80-43.

Canon-McMillan's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything went Central Catholic's way against Canon-McMillan in their previous matchup back in February, as Central Catholic made off with a 53-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Catholic since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
