Baseball Recap: North Medford Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Eugene on Saturday, North Medford came back down to earth. The Black Tornado fell just short of the Grants Pass Cavemen by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

North Medford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Horsley, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

North Medford's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Grants Pass, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. North Medford will take on rival Willamette at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Grants Pass is set to face off against their familiar foe Roseburg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
