The Riverdale Rams will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the East Moline United Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Riverdale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

Riverdale is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since May 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past Alleman 4-3. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Claire Beeler was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Mya Dalaska also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, East Moline United took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past Kewanee 13-3.

Emily Stevens and Samantha Verstraete made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Stevens tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Verstraete pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Furthermore, Stevens didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024. At bat, Stevens went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Verstraete scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sophia Crouse, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Crawford, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Riverdale's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for East Moline United, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.
