Joshua Wood leads Evergreen State champions to thrilling finish with last-season touchdown in game that saw 11 lead changes.
The 15-0 Washington state 4A champions needed the last-second score because Hunter, the nation's No. 1 recruit, showed out with a 200-yard receiving day and two scores. His last TD reception gave Collins Hill a 36-33 lead that looked like it would hold up with less than a minute remaining.
On Wednesday, Hunter stunned the football world when he switched his college recruitment from Florida State to the Deion Sanders-led Jackson State team, a HBCU and FCS program.
On Saturday, it was Graham-Kapowsin's turn for the stunner.

Joshua Wood led Graham-Kapowsin to a thrilling 40-36 win Saturday, finding Stephen Mars Jr. on a 32-yard TD pass with one second remaining.

Wood, the 2021 MaxPreps Washington High School Football Player of the Year, threw for 273 yards on 15-of-24 passing and four touchdowns, adding 86 yards rushing in 12 carries.
The roller coaster game saw 11 lead changes and rivaled — if not surpassed — the insane
25-24 Hamilton win over Bishop Gorman on Sept. 17. It was fitting Saturday's contest would finally be decided with one tick on the clock.
Collins Hill (15-1) trailed by three after Wood's third scoring strike of the day — a 57-yarder to
Julian Mason — put Graham-Kapowsin up 33-29 with under three minutes to play.
And that was plenty of time for Hunter, quarterback
Sam Horn and the Georgia AAAAAAA champions ... or so it seemed.
Staring on their own 25, Horn moved the chains with a run up to their 39 before taking a sack and setting up a fourth-and-14 with just over 90 seconds left. Horn, the Missouri commit, found Hunter for 32 yards to keep their hopes alive. A few plays later, the Horn-to-Hunter connection paid off with a 28-yard scoring strike that appeared to be the game winner.
Wood and Graham-Kapowsin got the ball back on their own 37 and worked it to the Collin Hill 32 before the quarterback rolled to his left and chucked the ball toward the goal post as Mars snagged the ball in front of corner
Christian Harris.

The Graham-Kapowsin coaches and players celebrate their thrilling 40-36 win Saturday over Collins Hill in the GEICO State Champions Bowl Series in Las Vegas.
