Basketball Recap: Georgetown Piles Up the Points Against Swansea

With a playoff win on the line, Georgetown rose to the challenge on Monday. They claimed a resounding 73-13 victory over the Swansea Tigers. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Tigers are ranked 267th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Georgetown found their leader in freshman Haiden Reed, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Ean Mitchell, who put up 11 points.

Georgetown's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34 points. As for Swansea, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season.

Georgetown will face off against Keenan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Swansea does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
