Softball Game Preview: Singer Hornets vs. Washington-Marion Charging Indians

Singer is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Washington-Marion a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Singer Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Washington-Marion Charging Indians at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Singer after they put the first points on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 15-8 to South Cameron.

Hanna Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Breeanna Mitchell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Washington-Marion came up short against DeRidder on Thursday, falling 22-3.

Singer's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Washington-Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
