Preview: Adobe Mountain vs. Phoenix College Prep
Adobe Mountain has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against Phoenix College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Adobe Mountain will be strutting in after a win while Phoenix College Prep will be coming in after a loss.
Back in December of 2023, Adobe Mountain really took it to Pan-American for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-42 victory at home. The win was just what Adobe Mountain needed coming off of a 78-45 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Phoenix College Prep, who are still winless after their sixth match. They took a serious blow against ASU Prep Poly on Friday, falling 59-11. While losing is never fun, Phoenix College Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while ASU Prep Poly is ranked 117th).
Adobe Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Phoenix College Prep, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Adobe Mountain didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Phoenix College Prep when the teams last played back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with a 63-57 victory.
