Volleyball Recap: Rahway Indians vs. Union Farmers

Rahway unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Union Farmers by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. Indians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Farmers since Wednesday.

Rahway started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 25-16.

Nyasia Wynn paced Rahway's offense, picking up four kills. Wynn got some help from Jasmine Johnson and her 12 assists. Ella DiDolce controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rahway is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Oak Knoll at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union, they will square off against Cranford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
