St. Charles North faced Glenbard North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The North Stars fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-3. The North Stars' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

St. Charles North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Patterson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Another was Julianna Kouba, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

St. Charles North's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Glenbard North, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
