Softball Recap: Piketon Victorious

Piketon's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Southeastern Panthers. The Redstreaks haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Kyndall Carroll spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jaylin Forbes, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Piketon's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Southeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Coming up, Piketon will head out to challenge Unioto at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southeastern, they will welcome Oak Hill at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
