It's playoff time, and Lamar Consolidated had no trouble coming through when it counted. They beat the Galena Park Yellowjackets on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-5. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Lamar Consolidated let Sophia Lundstrom and Terra Williams run wild. Lundstrom got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Williams went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Lundstrom is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Paige Bentancur, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Lamar Consolidated lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive matchups.

Lamar Consolidated's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Galena Park, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

As of now, neither Lamar Consolidated nor the Yellowjackets have any future games scheduled.
