Softball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

After flying high against Marshall on Wednesday, Franklin came back down to earth. The Panthers took a 17-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wilson Mules on Friday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mules earlier this season, when they won 10-1.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Wilson, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10.

Coming up, Franklin will challenge Eagle Rock at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wilson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bravo at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mules' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 11 runs per game this season.
