Softball Game Preview: Elmwood Park Tigers vs. Bartlett Hawks

The Elmwood Park Tigers will face off against the Bartlett Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Elmwood Park's hitters haven't had much luck over their past six matchups, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Chicago hit Elmwood Park with a five-run sixth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers came up short against the Wildcats, falling 12-2.

Leah Alvarado was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Ava Bowser also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Bartlett unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Geneva by a score of 11-10.

Bartlett's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Elmwood Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
