Baseball Recap: Woodlawn-B.R. Takes a Loss

Woodlawn-B.R. was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Ascension Christian, falling 13-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 13, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Woodlawn-B.R. saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Gray, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Woodlawn-B.R.'s defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Ascension Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodlawn-B.R. will challenge Port Allen at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ascension Christian, they will take on Brusly at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Brusly will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Ascension Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
