Basketball Game Preview: Devils Lake Firebirds vs. Bottineau Braves/Stars

The Devils Lake Firebirds will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the Bottineau Braves/Stars at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Devils Lake comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Monday, Devils Lake took a blow against Turtle Mountain, falling 72-41.

Meanwhile, Bottineau was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 67-66 to Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg.

Devils Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bottineau, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything came up roses for Devils Lake against Bottineau in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 59-29 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Firebirds since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
