Softball Recap: Alexander Takes a Loss

Alexander was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buckeyes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Alexander's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Nelsonville-York, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-3.

Coming up, Alexander is taking a road trip to take on Wellston at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Nelsonville-York, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Millersport at 11:00 a.m. The Lakers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Buckeyes surely won't give up without a fight.
