Softball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Cougars vs. Renaissance Academy Knights
Calvary Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Renaissance Academy Knights by a score of 11-9. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Calvary Christian Academy of the 9-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Leah Zweitzig and Rebekah Zweitzig stepped up to the plate in a big way. Zweitzig scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Zweitzig scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Calvary Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Renaissance Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
