If Marquette was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Parkway West on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs came up short against the Howell Central Spartans on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Marquette couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Howell Central a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-20, 34-32.

Noah Landewe paced Marquette's offense, picking up 16 kills. Landewe got some help from Alex Danyluck and his 34 assists.

Marquette's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Howell Central, they pushed their record up to 17-3-2 with the victory, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.
