Basketball Recap: Harvey Sets Scoring Season-High Against Geneva

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harvey). They walked away with a 78-71 victory over the Geneva Eagles on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Leading Harvey to victory were Armani Hall and Deontae Ware. Hall dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards, while Ware went 10 of 14 en route to 23 points and eight rebounds. Ware's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chase Goines, who posted eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Harvey's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12. As for Geneva, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvey won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Maple Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maple Heights will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Harvey surely won't give up without a fight. As for Geneva, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Berkshire at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Geneva is facing Berkshire at the right time seeing as Berkshire is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
