Seacrest Country Day is a perfect 10-0 against Everglades City since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Stingrays will square off against the Gators at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Seacrest Country Day took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Lely 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Stingrays, who have now won three matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Caroline Porter was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jolie Booth, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kami Gray also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Everglades City didn't have quite enough to beat Mason Classical Academy on Thursday and fell 12-10. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ava Ramos was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Josey Ryder, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Everglades City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Seacrest Country Day, their record is now 4-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Seacrest Country Day has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Everglades City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Seacrest Country Day's way against Everglades City in their previous matchup last Tuesday, as Seacrest Country Day made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stingrays since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
